Attacks Won’t Change My Convictions

I would like to say to Mr. Marvin Peyser that I began to think some time ago that the only way to save (perhaps) our country from the politicians was to write down my thoughts and ideas and send them to The Voice. My one and only aim was to hope and pray that our citizens throughout the country who have become so used to "letting the other guy do it" would take back the free rein they have given the politicians—who have been governing our country not for the benefit of the people, but for themselves.

All of my views have stressed the point that the only avenue we have to make changes in our government is to VOTE! I never attacked anyone in any way for their thoughts or ideas. Unfortunately, Mr. Peyser has chosen to attack me, calling me "vicious." At first I was not going to respond to the attack, but finally did [Tired of Giving Away Our Tax Money, August 2]. Now Mr. Peyser [All Human Life Is Sacred, August 16] and others are continuing their attacks, not only on me, but also on two other writers who have chosen to voice their thoughts and ideas.

Attacking anyone was never in my mind—and I will not change my convictions as to what I believe is a destructive road for our country, a road our politicians insist on driving. Again, I say: Vote, vote, vote!
