: Canton Junior High School holds an orientation program for incoming 7th graders from 8-11 a.m. Students have been mailed an invitation with details of the program; any incoming 7th grader who has not received an invitation should call the junior high office at 693-7712. : The City of Torrington holds a public workshop on the downtown redevelopment project at 6 p.m. at the Yankee Pedlar on Main St. This is the last of a series of sessions that will play an important role in shaping the redevelopment project, and will be a crucial component of the City’s conceptual master plan for downtown. Findings, recommendations, and draft alternative land use maps will be presented at this meeting.
