Special September Services at Valley Brook Community Church

Special September Services at Valley Brook Community Church

There are exceptional times in our history when there is an event that truly defines a people. September 11, 2001 was one of those times. With the anniversary of September 11 approaching, the community is invited to series of services entitled "Remember … Tragedy to Triumph!" Every Sunday from September 8 through September 29, Valley Brook Community Church in Granby will take time to remember, ask hard questions, and look for hope!

This series will culminate on September 29 with a special service to "Honor Our Heroes." On that Sunday, a special thanks will be given to our local heroes who have and who do put their lives on the line for the community and the country. A special invitation is given to those in the military (active and retired), public safety and law enforcement and their families. These special honorees are invited to attend in their uniforms. The special guest speaker on September 29 will be FDNY Firefighter and Ground Zero rescue worker Frank Costa, who will share his story of September 11, 2001 and the days that followed.

Please take note that Valley Brook Community Church now worships in the auditorium of Granby Memorial High School, located at 315 Salmon Brook St. (Route 10) in Granby. The service begins each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and there is a nursery for children who are infants through age two, as well as classes for children and youth. Valley Brook’s desire is to help people know and grow with God. For more info about Valley Brook and the special September services, call 860-844-0001, or visit <www.valleybrookcommunity.org>.
