Visiting Nurses Seek Volunteers for Thrift Shop

Visiting Nurse and Home Care Northwest, Inc. is seeking additional volunteers for their Thrift Shop, which is located at 121 New Milford Turnpike in New Preston. Current hours of operation are Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

A minimum commitment of a 4-hour block per week is requested, although substitute volunteers only need to be available for a minimum of a 4-hour block a month. Thrift Shop Manager Frances Raymunt hopes that additional volunteers will enable the shop to extend its hours to include Mondays and Fridays as well as Saturday afternoons.
