Thanks to Winsted Police Officer By Chester Whiteside, Hudson, NY

I am a 67-year-old black American man from Hudson, New York who was traveling from Waterbury to Hudson on the afternoon of Saturday, September 7. I had difficulties on the highway outside Thomason. My car had a flat tire, and within ten minutes my "God" sent a man and a lovely lady to my rescue.

I was having trouble removing the jack from its rack in the trunk of my car, my feet sticking out of the trunk, when this man and his lady friend came by to ask if they could help me. This man's first name is Mark, and he is a police officer in the Winsted Police Department. I would like everyone in his community and his state as well as the world to know what this man did for me. In reality he save my life. I am suffering from heart problems that would not have allowed me to change the tire even had I retrieved the jack.

This police officer did a fine job away from his workplace for a stranger in need.
