September Breeze

By Arlene Ascenzo, Torrington

September is a very refreshing month. The cooler air starts to move in, uplifting our spirits. There is an accent of familiarity about this season of the year, for it brings with it an abundance of rejuvenation.

It's the time of the year when a breeze starts to blow in open windows, giving a cool, relaxing sensation. The trees start to change their image and the sky, still blue, offers its peace and tranquility.

It's a time to be cheerful and frolic; to enjoy the weather's gradual arrival of calm; and to anticipate a kind of carefree outlook as we respond to the month of September with grace.

For many—not only children and young adults, but also for adults—it is the month to start going back to school. For many this can be exciting and challenging, and always brings new experiences.

Outlooks on life always change from one season to another. Fall tends to give us a type of "charge" and a bountiful feeling. Enjoy the surge of September and remember that it is a time to emerge.
