"Touch-A-Truck" a Success By Shari Mahan

The Litchfield Junior Women’s Club would like to thank all 205 children and their parents who came equipped with umbrellas and rain slickers to "Touch-A-Truck" on Sunday, September 15. Judging from the smiles and horn honking, a good time was had by all. Approximately $1,000 was collected. The money will be combined with proceeds from last year’s event to help upgrade Playscape.

Without our generous, friendly and dedicated sponsors the day could not have happened. A special thank you to Stop & Shop of Litchfield, Bunnell Farm, the Litchfield Fire Co., SMC Environmental, Connecticut State Police—Troop L, O&G Industries, Litchfield Volunteer Ambulance, the U.S. Army Department, Wayne’s Auto Service, EJT Excavating, Northeast Utilities, The Elm Press, Litchfield Locker Co., and True Value of Litchfield.

Companies and individuals interested in contributing to our Playscape project can send checks to the Litchfield Junior Women’s Club, PO Box 1490, Litchfield, CT 06759.
