Friends of Main Street Shopper Survey

Friends of Main Street Shopper Survey

The Economic Restructuring Committee of Winsted’s Friends of Main Street is dedicated to restoring downtown’s economic health. Initially, this process focuses on assisting existing businesses—helping them improve management, marketing and customer services. In the long run, "restructuring" downtown’s economy means reconfiguring the mix of goods and services so that downtown is economically balanced, adaptable and competitive. At the same time, economic restructuring focuses on working with property owners to reinvest in their buildings to enhance the marketability (and value) of downtown real estate.

Downtown Winsted has so much potential, with the Main Street Enhancement Project being the tip of the iceberg. The Economic Restructuring committee created a Shopper Survey with the goal of understanding the attitudes about Main Street. The survey’s objective is to enhance your shopping experience and ultimately work toward revitalizing our historic downtown.

What we need now is your voice! We ask that you take a few minutes to complete and submit the survey. You can find the survey online at <www.friendsofmainstreet.org>. If you don’t have Internet access, the survey will be available around town at various merchants, Town Hall and other establishments. The response deadline is November 15.

This survey is not restricted to residents of Winsted. We want to hear from all shoppers and potential shoppers of our downtown merchants. We thank you in advance for helping us help you.
