Sunday, November 3 TORRINGTON : Catholic Inter-Parish Adult Education Initiative sponsors a presentation on the importance of preparing in advance for making decisions at the end stages of life at 2 p.m. in the St. Peter Church Hall, 109 East Main St. Sr. Suzanne Gross, a Franciscan Sister of the Eucharist and Program Coordinator for the Hartford Archdiocesan Pro-Life Activities, will discuss tools such as living wills, advanced directives, and the use of conservators. People of all faith traditions are welcome; there is no admission charge, and refreshments will be served.WINSTED : St. Andrews Lodge, 27 Wheeler St. holds its Fall Roast Beef Dinner from noon-1:30 p.m. Each year St. Andrews awards scholarships to college bound seniors at Gilbert and Regional #7.
