(L-R) Hope deManbey, Ryan Salame, Andrea Crandall, Erika Rockhill, Ray Seavy, Samantha deManbey, Scott Salame and Cassandra deManbey

The Young Actors Klub invites the public to attend "Kings, Courtyards and Comedy" at the Sandisfield Arts Center, Route 57 at Hammertown Rd. in Sandisfield on Sunday, November 10 at 1 p.m. This performance consists of six short fairytale-like plays, for audiences ages 6 and up.

The Young Actors Klub (YAK) was formed last year under the Youth and Family program of the Sandisfield Arts Center. YAK invites area children to participate in the various aspects of play production. This year the Young Actors Klub consists of eight amateur actors (ages 9-15) who've had prior acting experience. They have spent hours in preparation for this show and hope to have a large audience to view their work.

"Kings, Courtyards and Comedy" is a show designed for all ages, with a particular appeal to children. It consists of a variety of plays, beginning with a story of an emperor anxious to marry off his daughters, and including stories about a magic wishing well, a princess who always laughs, Pandora's box, a group of forgotten dolls, and a princess who always cries.

Admission is free, thanks to a grant from the Berkshire Bank Foundation; for more info call 413-258-4953, or 413-258-4016.
