A drive down Winsted’s Main Street will show you that work is still progressing with our Main Street Enhancement Project. This week we received news of two issues. The first is related to the light pole bases and incompatibility with the electrical conduit hardware leading to the bases. The second issue is that the existing guardrails across from Town Hall interfere with the cement forms required for installation of the new sidewalk.

The appropriate parties are actively working toward resolution of these two issues. Situations such as these are expected with any project and should be considered "bumps in the road" (pun intended!) rather than showstoppers. All other project work is on schedule.
