Thank You and Goodbye …
We at The Voice would like to thank all of the many people who in various ways have supported our endeavor to provide a public forum for the discussion of the important events and issues of our community.
We will miss the routine of putting the paper together and getting it out to the public each week, and the regular contact with the various authors and advertisers, the merchants who made our paper available in their places of business, and others too numerous to mention who have come to be our friends. We hope to in some way stay in touch with as many of you as possible.
Thanks also to publisher Jedd Gould for his vision and initiative in starting this unique publication, and for his dedication and perseverance in making it possible for all of us to express ourselves in this truly American way for so many years. Please don't doubt that the decision to stop publication was a terribly difficult one for him to make.
I have enjoyed watching and helping the diverse, sometimes contrary and yet ultimately collaborative contributions of so many people come together to create The Voice each week. We certainly need more, not less, means of expressing ourselves these days, and I can only hope that the model Jedd laid out for us will be appreciated and replicated elsewhere.
